It’s crazy but I had an experience recently involving giving the finger- in this case it wasn’t me but my rabbi! We were at a rally at the United Nations protesting their utter lack of action for the hostages. As we left, we saw a group of ultra-Orthodox Jews protesting US and holding anti-Israel signs. Without hesitation the rabbi gave them the finger. It startled me at first, but then I realized it summed up his feelings about them perfectly- without him having to say a word.
